Product Description
SIEMENS SIPROTEC 7SD82 LINE DIFFERENTIAL NUMERICAL RELAY
The line differential protection relay SIPROTEC 7SD82 ispart of the new SIPROTEC 5 series of modular field devices. This device isespecially designed for cost effective and compact medium voltage andsub-transmission application areas. With its flexibility and itshigh-performance DIGSI 5 engineering tool, the SIPROTEC 7SD82 fits perfectlyfor protection, control, monitoring, and measuring applications in electricalenergy systems
Main function:
Line differentialprotection for medium and sub-transmission
Tripping:3-pole, min. tripping time 9 ms
Inputs and outputs:-4 current transformers,-4 voltagetransformers (optional),-11 or 23 binary inputs,-9 or 16 binary outputs
Hardware flexibility: Various hardware quantity structuresare available for binary inputs and outputs in the 1/3 base module, it is notpossible to add 1/6 expansion modules, available with large and small displayHousingwidth:1/3 19 inch
All functions can be configured freely with DIGSI 5. For theapplication of some of the functions, you require the appropriate number offree function points within the device. The function point calculator in theonline configurator provides support in determining the required number offunction points for your device.
Minimum tripping time: 19 ms
Main protection function is differential protection with adaptive algorithm for maximum sensitivity and stability even with the most different transformer errors, current-transformer saturation and capacitivecharging currents
Directional backup protection and various additional functions
Detection of ground faults of any type in isolated or arc-suppression-coil-ground systems using the following functions: 3I0>, V0>, fleeting contact, Cos-/SinPhi, harmonic, dir. detection of intermittent ground faults and admittance
