Product Description

SIEMENS SIPROTEC 7UT86 Transformer differentialprotection numerical relay

The transformer differential protection SIPROTEC 7UT86 is auniversal protection, control, and automation device on the basis of theSIPROTEC 5 system. It is especially designed for the protection of threewinding transformers. It is the main protection for the transformers andcontains many other protection and monitoring functions. The additionalprotection functions can also be used as backup protection for protecteddownstream objects (e.g. cables, line). At this, it supports also the modularavailability of the hardware. The device supports all SIPROTEC 5 systemcharacteristics. It enables future-oriented system solutions with highinvestment security and low operating costs. Main function:1 Differentialprotection (standard) with add-on stabilizations; Up to 3 differentialground-fault protection For autotransformer applications 2 differentialprotection functions in a function group, autotransformer can be used.

Useful measuring point:-6 three-pole current measuringPoints,-4 one-pole current measuring points,-3 four-pole voltage measuringPoints,-3 one-pole voltage measuring points-expandable to 4 sidesInputs andoutputs:-2 predefined standard variants with-12 current transformers,-4 voltagetransformers-11 to 23 binary inputs,-18 to 34 binary outputsHardwareflexibility:Flexible adaptable and expandable I/O-quantity structure within thescope of the modular SIPROTEC 5-building blocks building blocks.Width ofhousing:1/3 x 19'' to 2/1 x 19''

All functions can be configured freely with DIGSI 5. For theapplication of some of the functions, you require the appropriate number offree function points within the device. The function point calculator in theonline configurator provides support in determining the required number offunction points for your device.

FURTHER FUNCTIONS

  • Transformer differential protection for three-winding transformers with versatile, additional protection functions; expandable to four-winding transformers
  • Transformer differential protection for phase-angle regulating transformers of the single core type and special transformers
  • Universal usability of the permissible measuring points
  • Typical properties of a transformer differential protec-tion such as flexible adaptation to the transformer vector group, control of inrush and overexcitation processes, safe behavior in the case of current-transformer saturation with different degrees of saturation
  • Adaptive adaptation of the operate curve to the transformer tap position
  • Applicable from average up to extra-high voltage
  • Protection of standard power transformers, auto transformers and motors
  • Increased sensitivity with near-neutral-point ground faults through a separate restricted ground-fault protection
  • Additional current and voltage inputs can be supplements for standard protection functions, such as overcurrent, voltage frequency and others
  • Graphical logic editor to create powerful automation functions in the device
  • Arc protection
  • Voltage controller function ANSI 90V for two-winding transformers, three-winding transformers and grid coupling transformers with parallel control (master/follower, circuit reactive current minimization)
  • Up to 4 pluggable communication modules, usable for different and redundant protocols (IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-103, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3 serial and TCP, Modbus TCP, PROFINET IO)
  • Redundancy protocols PRP and HSR
