Short Circuit Study
The following types of fault will be simulated:
- Three phase symmetrical fault
- Line to Line fault
- Line to Earth fault
- Line to line to Earth fault
The following output data will be presented as a minimum for all short circuit fault studies:
- Initial symmetrical fault current (lk)
- Peak asymmetric fault current (lp)
- Symmetrical breaking current (lb)
- Steady state short circuit current (lk)
- Percentage dc component (ldc) (only presented for balanced 3-phase
Short circuit currents on each busbar and line will be used to establish the interrupting and momentary ratings of circuit breakers, MCCBS, fuses and other switching devices at busbars and feeders.
