The Reyrolle 7SR17 Rho is a numeric protection relay with four currentinputs and optionally three voltage inputs.The relay is applied to motors andtheir connections providing an integrated protection system.The relay istypically used as a stand-alone device but can be supplied with an externalunit to interface with remote temperature detectors embedded in the motor orinstalled on auxiliary equipment.The Reyrolle 7SR17 Rho relay includes thermalprotection optimized for motor applications and motor starting supervisionalgorithms. Several other protections are also provided and are selectable asrequired so that a solution appropriate to the installation can be achieved.TheReyrolle 7SR17 with its draw out enclosure, enhanced BI/Os, higher RTD inputs,multiple communication interfaces including IEC 61850 provides both current andvoltage based motor protection algorithms for industrial motor feederapplications.Siemens Reyrolle motor protection portfolio provides optimalprotection platforms for panel builders serving industrial and distributionapplications.
